I don’t recall how I happened upon German indie company Fuchsteufelswild, but I immediately fell in love. Who wouldn’t? They’re DIY, Vegan-Friendly and Sweat-Shop-Free!
I am in desperate want of their Veggie Necklace. Spy anything up your alley?

I never used to be into scarves. Don’t get me wrong – I love a cozy warm winter scarf; it;s the bandanas, and flimsy thin scarves that used to irk me. I like to knit, so my number 1 scarf priority used to be warmth. But that was before I got myself a couple of soft scarves. They’re areally quick and easy way to dress up an outfit, and versatile enough to completely transform outfits past!
So yes, I was a hater. But now, I can’t help myself. In my spare time I find myself youtubing new and creative ways to tie a scarf so it looks entirely new!

In a last-minute rush to find tips, ideas, and inspiration to decorate your place for Halloween? Maybe you’re having a last-minute party, or forgot to make a stop at the pumpkin patch this year. Well, you’ve come to the right place. Not all of us have the creativity, nor the time required for some of the elaborate set-ups I posted in my previous Halloween Decor Inspiration post, so this post is for you.
Here are some quick, and easily re-created decor with minimal cheese factor– with minimal glue-gunning required.

Halloween is fast approaching, but I seem to be the only house on my street with pumpkins and ghosts decorating the lawn. When I was a kid, I remember visiting almost all of the houses on the street, all of them decorated with at least a lit pumpkin, or a colored porch light. Walking home from school I used to get so giddy seeing the pumpkins appearing on doorsteps, cobwebs appearing around garages. Its seeing these decorations that probably sparked my need to parade around the house, up and down the hallways in whatever unfortunate costume I had decided to don that year. (Fun fact: As a wee one, I had a kangaroo costume that I absolutely loved and refused to give up. There are pictures of me scrunched into it one Halloween, and it clearly being a costume for a small toddler– barely came to my ankles and wrists. I still remember carrying the removable joey around the house, and my mother tying the floppy-eared hat too tightly under my chin.)
But enough fond childhood memories. The point is, either people don’t have the Halloween spirit like they used to, or y’all are getting lazy. And with this post, I hope to change that. So put on your paint-pants, grab your cobwebs, and let’s spook the house!

Sock It to Me is a great indie company I recently discovered, and they specialize in – you guessed it, SOCKS! But not just any sock- AMAZING SOCKS. They make and sell teh most unique prints, like 3D glasses (above), sushi, manatees, cupcakes, pigs, and even tighty whities!
I’m the proud owner of two pairs myself, the 3D glasses, and the cupcake print.

A lot of rebels have gone down in history. Many of the notables are men, like James Dean for instance. But there are a few classy ladies who have gone down in history for taking a stand against the norms of their time. Sure, they probably did it with full hosiery and a skirt on, but I’m sure if a leather jacket had of been available…
Now-adays, the term rebel is reserved for that bad-boy you dated in high school, or those kids that hang out at the gas station with Mohawks defying gravity via a hairdryer and some glue.
I say we make something of the word.
It’s time to rebel.

If you followed my on Twitter over the weekend, you’ll know I was busy at the Fan Expo in Toronto. While browsing through the exhibitor area, I stumbled across Akumu Ink, an indie t-shirt line. I had discovered Akumu a couple of years ago on the internet, but definitely fell in love with the newer designs and style. I purchased two tees, Death Before Dishonor (above), and Poisoned.
The more time I spend on Tumblr, I find the more my traditional fashion sense (which is very little, I’m a tshirt and high-waisted jean short kind of girl) seems to warp into a free-love, wear what makes you feel rad, kind of person.
And there is a lot of free-flowing long hair, a lot of studded jean jackets, spray paint, crop tops, and spikes. Lord are there spikes.
And I think that’s just nifty.
So here you are, a few photos to get your hardcore fashion flowing…

This Summer, why not take the Pastel nail trend to the extreme by giving yourself a dripping ice cream sundae manicure! A base coat of Vanilla, some gooey strawberry sauce, and sprinkles!
