I can already hear the sounds of these things flying off Anime Convention shelves. All you need is a purr implant, and your life as a furry will be complete.

I’ll be the first to admit, my apartment is kind of a crap hole. We don’t live in the best neighbourhood, we don’t have the best neighbours, and we nearly froze to death (I may be exaggerating slightly) this winter.
But if I learned anything from Snow White; which I did, it’s that you sweep up the cobwebs, flick the grumps on the nose, and make do with what you’ve got.
And so I did.
We don’t have a lot of cash to spare on decor, but we’re lucky enough to have family members who are great gifters, are savvy goodwill rummage-rs, and are crafty when it counts.
Here are some pictures of my Kitsh-en, I’ll try to divulge where everything came from if I can recall it.

I’ve been on a decoupage kick. Essentially picture me on the floor of my apartment with a jar of Mod Podge and some busy-patterned paper, gluing things to other things. And repeat.
Anyone who knows what a Mod Podge, Decoupage (,Rhyme-atage) kick is like will know it means a lot of time spent in the craft section, and a lot of time spent at second-hand shops looking to discover the next big up-cycle, the next big craft piece.
It’s a nostalgic feeling walking through aisles upon aisles of old wedding dresses, ornate teacups, gadgets and wall hangings, books and trinkets, the odd stripper shoe…
And as such, one would only get inspired by being surrounded by all of the classic vintage pieces. I’m feeling the mod, kitschy, modern vintage style. And, there are a ton of online boutiques and artists on that same kick…
I’m such a sucker for cupcakes. I get weak at the knees for sprinkle donuts. I will stop at nothing for a chocolate chip cookie. That’s why I always *squee* in my little boots whenever I find sweet (like the treat) clothing and accessories. Doughnut purse? Want it. Candy Skirt? Gotta Have it. Cupcake Apron? Have it already.
