Sorry for the horrible webcam quality/ no make-up, but I’m excited! I changed my hair color! I’d been rocking a purple dip dye forever,and was wanting a change. So I chopped off the purple section (which was getting scraggly and unruly anyways), did a once over with a box dye in a dark blonde, just a couple of shades darker then my natural color. And finally, I dyed the tips with a diluted mixture of SFX dye in Fishbowl for a pastel-y turquoise fade!

Christmas is almost upon us! I’ve been busy on my end, starting a new job and getting my house decorated! Above is a photo I snapped of the black and pink christmas tree in my bedroom. It will have to make do for the next couple weeks until we get our real one for the front entry.

We discovered Half-Minute Horrors after stopping by Imaginism Studio’s booth at the Toronto Fan Expo. Immediately falling in love with Bobby Chiu’s work, we were pleasantly surprised to discover that our favorite piece was the cover of the amazing short story collection, Half-Minute Horrors.
We immediately went out and bought a copy of the book for our coffee table. And it’s amazing.
It features short stories from some well known authors, like Lemony Snicket, Neil Gaiman,James Patterson, Margaret Atwood, and R.L. Stine!

If you’ve been reading my latest Hair Tutorials, Tips and Dye Techniques, you’ll know that for the past little while I’ve been trying to fade the purple out of my hair via Home Remedies and a Bleach Bath.
So, after several Vitamin C Shampoos, and 3 bleach baths to my purple and turquoise locks — my hair is now blonde, coral, and light fuchsia. I hope that spending more time in the sun will help me to fade the last tinges of pink.
I took some grainy, 2am web-cam photos to show you my fade progress..
I don’t typically post on Saturdays, but I figured I would make an exception today… being our last day on the planet and all. That’s right… Happy Apocalypse!

This Saturday afternoon, me and the boyfriend were doing our regular ole Grocery Shop, when we got a text from a friend asking us to head up to his cottage. We bought some beer, packed some vegan burgers, and began to drive 3 hours north.
I also packed a couple books I had been meaning to read, and absorbed a few chapters while we sped through the countryside.
I don’t remember much after we got there, we drank most of our beer, napped in the car, and headed back home at about 5 in the morning. I woke up sunday in a semi-drunk stupor with ketchup in my hair and all over my sweater.
The good thing about hangovers though — if you find tons of new stuff to share!

Typically I spend my Sundays, wrapped up in six layers of comfy pajamas and yesterday’s make-up. But today ( a Saturday if you’re igloo bound) I woke up, and it just felt like a Sunday. My hair is dull and lifeless, I’m running soley on coffee and homemade sourdough bread, and I am wearing slipper boots that clime up past my shins. I look like Sunday.
So, today I am here-by claiming Saturunday!
And what do we typically do on lazy-Saturundays? Well, My Friend, aren’t you in luck! We merely attach our sensory devices to our comput-a-boxes for the entirety of the day, only to surface for snacks, bathroom breaks, and the occasional house fire.
Here’s what I’m up to this Saturunday, and my recommendations to make yours a pleasant one:
Being self employed, I have come to terms with the fact that I no longer have any natural circadian rhythm. If you don’t know what that is- it essentially means my body will no longer let me go to sleep and wake up with the sun…
